So the holidays are almost here, huh? What we usually do when we have many days-off lined one after the other is to succumb to our escalating levels of laziness and spent all of our free time eating and…

Good afternoon farmhoppers! The kitchen is smelling divine here at Seedcamp. As per our introduction to Urbangrains, we have channelled our inspiration and dreams of warmer climates into a tasty and light Greek classic. So, rather than give in to the cold weather all together and reach for the nearest carb-heavy winter standard, below is a recipe we have adapted from Olive Magazine, it incorporates beautiful and healthy Mediterranean products. A Greek Lamb and Feta Stew 1-2 hours, Serves…

As the cold weather starts to creep into London, the farmhopping team are reminiscing about our long gone summer holidays. While we clasp our morning lattes (extra foam for Rossi), memories of perfect beach hair and salty skin are becoming foggy faster than the tube’s windows that carry us to and from the office everyday. However, our ray of hope has arrived in the perfect forms of silky smooth olive oils, tangy relishes and fluffy feta. Please welcome to the farmhopping family–…

Since we have been accepted in Seedcamp our journey has been both tough and inspiring in equal measures. We landed in London on the 05th of September with no place to live, a lean budget and big dreams. The past month has been like a blur, time speeding at a fast pace, trying to prove to the world that we can make it happen. We stopped measuring time in hours, but rather used milestones. We crashed at friends homes, couchsurfing between places, spent the weekends at the farmer markets and on the…

Ever since our UK team landed in London, we have been feeling overwhelmed with tasty temptations, amazed by this sea of endless opportunities for enthusiastic foodies. There is indeed an amazing and healthy something for every taste waiting around each and every corner, but nothing compares to farmers’ markets. We almost visited them all, determined to find the best producers out there, and you can’t just go and look, you sure have to taste for yourself. The farmers smile at you and…

Now that autumn has descended over us with certainty, it might be time to rethink not just our wardrobe, but also our menu. Eating by the season might seem less convenient than filling your basket with the year-round, symmetrically-shaped tomatoes at the supermarket, but it sure is tastier, natural, better for your health and for local economy. Nature, once again, does the right thing by providing us with a varying menu. Diversity is there because everything in nature has its purpose and its…

farmhopping wishes a great start of the school year to all the little farmhoppers out there. We use the occasion to turn to their caring mothers, hoping this 15th of September marks a better start - one that is greener, healthier and more sustainable. There is nothing worse than peer pressure. What power does a mother have to fight with the temptations of the chocolate bars, shiny wrappers and one-meter-long chewing gums. At least that’s what was hip during our childhood, who knows what’s…

We are proud to announce our team is now on the move, conquering new lands, overcoming new heights. After some extensive research and preparation, we are ready to launch in London! The team is now divided between the two location, but the enthusiasm is more than doubled, so no worries, we’ll keep on doing our best wherever we are. We hope you wish us luck, although we sure know a little something about connecting farmers with the people of the city. And how different could that be in the UK. And…
