5 Ideas For a Special Easter

02/04/2015

So the holidays are almost here, huh? What we usually do when we have many days-off lined one after the other is to succumb to our escalating levels of laziness and spent all of our free time eating and slacking off. Rest is, of course, important, but so is having a good time and building nice memories. Since Easter doesn't happen everyday, we believe we should do our best to make it special.

That's why we came up with 5 ideas for activities that will make your Easter more fun, while still relaxing at  the same time.

1. Dye some eggs with natural ingredients.

No need to buy chemically derived food dye this Easter. It's much more fun and much healthier to use the vibrant colours of some foods to dye your eggs. Red onions, purple cabbage or beets are some of the veggies which will do the trick, learn how here.

2. Throw an egg hunt with a prize

While eggs hunts are usually aimed at the little ones, adults could participate too. You can award the winners with an impressive dessert - this Rainbow cake will do the trick. And since we're aiming at special, serve a glass of portwine to the grown-ups.

3. Make the most adorable deviled eggs in the world

These cute appetizers will put a smile on every face around the festive table. They look like snow men eggs! But make sure you eat them quickly before they ran away :)

4. Make some chocolate eggs

This one is a classic. This year don't buy them, but make them yourself and prepare egg baskets for your closest friends. Here's our recipe suggestion. And yes, surprise your friends and family by using real egg shells, that would be sooo cool.
