And since this blog is about sustainable usage of nature`s gifts, it`s only logical to talk about how we can benefit from them in the beauty sector. So, here we go, let`s see (read, to be exact) how common produce can work miracles for that shiny summer appearance you wish for. We all know the healthy benefits of eating fresh fruits and vegetables, but how much do we know about using them as beauty products? It would be a crime not to, as they are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and nutrients like vitamin A, B, C, D and E, carotenoids, co enzyme Q 10, phytonutrients, polyphenols, potassium, selenium zinc and like a thousand more. So just by combining the right kind with some other simple ingredients you get your own homemade and best facial masque, skin cream and ointment:

And here are my personal favorites, tested over and over again and proven to be magical; a couple of simple yet extremely effective recipes with some of the above listed fruits and vegetables:
Lemon cleanser
What you need:
1/8 cup ground almonds
2 tbs milk or cream
1 tsp lemon juice
What do you need it for:
Combine all the ingredients, stirring thoroughly. Apply to face and neck by gently massaging with your fingertips. Rinse off with cool water.
Carrot facial mask
What you need:
2-3 large carrots
4 1/2 tbs honey
What do you need it for:
Mash the cooked carrots and mix with honey. Apply to face and neck, allow 10 minutes to take effect and rinse off with warm water.
